The Solopreneur Copilot Happy Thanksgiving to my US friends...and if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving where you are, then Happy Thursday?? Wherever you are and whatever you are doing, I hope you're having a great day. Luckily my family is still sleeping (highly unusual that a house with 4 kids is still asleep at 8:45am as I am writing this). Here's me, lookin' kinda tired with some fooked up hair: Here's what I want to write about today: You can do it. Yeah, the thing that you know you should do, always nags you in those silent moments in your brain, that thought that hits you when you're stressed, or when your boss hits you with an unreasonable request and you're like "WTFFFF". I used to just get pissed and start the job search instantly. It would provide temporary relief - maybe a higher salary, a new environment, etc. But eventually, I'd look at myself in the mirror in the bathroom of that office and say "there has to be something better than this". I'd have to snap back to stupid back-to-back meetings to talk about KPIs and plans and events and blah blah blah...right back into the mix, hurried by Corporate America. Ugh - there's just so much momentum that pushes you away from your desire to build your own business, do something you enjoy while still being able to pay the bills. It honestly pisses me off. Fake urgency. Worthless meetings. Performance reviews - what a joke. Doing all the work while your executive team says "we're all in this together fam".....while they travel on the corporate jet. Hell no. I rejected it then - and I absolutely reject it now. And you should too. I'm not saying burn the boats and quit your job right this sec (esp if you have a fam depending on you). What I am saying though is: YOU CAN BUILD A BUSINESS THAT GENERATES SIGNIFICANT REVENUE AND OFFERS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY A MUCH HIGHER QUALITY OF LIFE. There's people out there that have done it and I'm proving it to myself now. Here's an email I got last night that will result in another $2,700/mo retainer, which will bring my MRR at $10,200/mo
