What type of Sundays do you want to have going forward?
|
The Solopreneur Copilot Sunday. The day that used to make me cringe. Thinking about the commute. My crappy boss who talked too much. Or my other boss who was a backstabber. Now, the only thing that gives me anxiety is thinking about making 1000 sandwiches for my kids' school lunches for the week. (if you are new here, I have 4 kids aged 14 and younger, all boys...they eat a TON) I'm 40 (turning 41 in Jan) and I followed the script for the first 12-13 years of my work "career": Show up, do what you're supposed to do, come home, do your best, rinse and repeat. Always had this nagging feeling that this can't be everything...surely there has to be something better than this. Now, I know this may come off as entitled as many people around the world struggle with life or death issues, but in the context of my life, it just felt aimless and dead...like I was going through the motions, I had intention, but it was confined within the script that I thought I had to follow. I solved the income challenge by learning a high-value skill (tech sales, working with Microsoft etc). But I was failing miserably at many other things. So that's when I started writing my thoughts out daily in a notepad on my computer. I wanted something deeper, meaningful, exciting, fulfilling, flexible. I was always about taking action, but it was all action within a box that was way too confined. It was time to take action on things much bigger -- so that's what I did. And that's what I'm doing now, and it's paying off. I'm here to help you do the same because it's just too important. Sundays should feel relaxing, comforting, happy -- not full of anxiousness.
