add email subscribers consistently with this template

I’m revamping my content creation strategy and organization system.
Too many damn notes and advice I’ve collected scattered EVERYWHERE.
Sound familiar?
I love ad-hoc tweets and will still do them.
Sometimes they are the ones that perform the best.
Against what metric though?
To me, email subscribers are equally, if not more, important than X followers.
Ad-hoc tweets may perform well against the X algorithm, but do they get people to subscribe?
Your tweets need to serve a purpose.
My hypothesis:
organized content strategy → email subscribers → revenue growth.
To test, I first documented my goal:
My Goal: Create awareness of solopreneur digital sales problems and solutions on X, which then leads to newsletter subs, which then moves them to a sales page, which then leads to a digital product purchase.
Ok now fill yours in:
Your Goal: Create awareness of [problems you solve] and solutions on X, which then leads to newsletter subs, which then moves them to a sales page, which then leads to a digital product purchase.
Here are the 3 steps I took to make sure my content serves my goal:
-
Build newsletter M-F each week:
- Pick a topic from my content matrix
-
For 20-30m each morning, write about:
- the topic
- associated problems
- solutions
- link to digital product for additional value (if applicable)
-
Create tweets about the problem and solution:
- Use top copywriting frameworks to generate attention
- Tell the audience the solution will be in the newsletter
- Ask the reader to take action by subscribing to your newsletter
-
Validate that your tweets follow best practices:
- Solid hook
- Slippery slope writing
- Clear vs clever
- Write to 1 person
- Specific vs generic
- Convo with a close friend
- Generates curiousity
- Calls out a pain
- Promises a solution
- Keeps it simple
- Provides credibility
- Gives a timeframe to achieve
My results this week from applying this:
I applied this on Sept 11th and immediately saw results.
Day after day, I added email subscribers.
Before, my email subscribers were sporadic.
The tweet in the first picture performed the best to me because I got 6 link clicks.
Remember, my goal is to gain email subscribers.
